In His Image

What makes a portrait beautiful? The composition, lighting, and how the paint strokes develop into features and expressions certainly emerge at first glance. Yet just as an image can only capture a moment in time, colors on a canvas show just a portion of each person's intricate design. As I continue on my portrait painting journey, I am constantly reminded of how fearfully and wonderfully each of us are made to reflect the beauty of our Creator.
